The Mars Society has awarded the 2004 Conference First Place Print Award to Frank Hettick's recent entry.  The official 11" x 17" poster design was also used on the Conference Tee-shirt and on the syllabus study-guide cover.

The 4-day conference was attended by several hundred space-flight and Mars exploration enthusiasts from both the public and private sectors.

The original work (2004) by Hettick was then auctioned at the Conference Banquet for $500.  The artist also donated another five space art scenes that were also auctioned at the event as a fund-raiser for the non-profit group.
